I feed our black moor fish on Interpet Gold fish food sticks and they seem quite happy. Can I (and should I) give them something else for a change (I'm thinking maybe of live food such as daphnia)?

I feed all my fish frozen bloodworm about once a week. You can buy it at most pet shops and it's just like wee ice cubes. Your black moor will love it and you may see a change in his condition so that he looks fantastic. You can also buy them in wee sachets that you just squeeze out. Live food can be a bit of a carry on to be honest. You can also get freeze dried daphnia and various other foods which he will love.

Very very off topic. But I have 2 Cockatiels and they are spoilt rotten....Seed and water every day (of course)---then something 'special' (Carrot, Banana, Apple or (they love!!) Cabbage!!)....

I think it's well sound that you are thinking of your pets and take the time to think of their interests...and their health.........Too many people have a pet and it's ....well 'just-there'
