i don't use the whirlpool option a lot and when i do i get a bit of residue from the pipes coming out of the jets, do you think it's safe to rinse the jets by filling the bath up and adding baby steriliser? i don't wnat to corrode anything so thought it best to ask first.

Thanks

Do a search in Google for 'whirlpool cleaners' and you'll find several on offer. They work by filling the bath to just above the jets, adding the cleaner, and letting it run. Then drain, refill, and run again to rinse. Once or twice a month should be enough.
