How much roughly would this council land cost me?

My Garden has a funny shape down one side and I’d like to square it up. To do so I’d need to buy 150m2 of land from the council. The land on the other side of the fence is the peak of a grassy hill and would be impossible to build anything on. The land is no good for anything. I’d only be snatching a few metres of this hill, but this is for the length of my long garden.

I know no one can give me an accurate figure but I’d just look to know a ball park guesstimate? I’m also wondering how are the council to deal with in regards to buying land from them? Are they generally open to this?

P.S This land is in the North East of England.
