It always amazes me how tried and tested, homemade beauty preparations can oftentimes be far more effective than expensive, shop-bought products. I have read some fab tips on this section of Ab recently, from banishing blackheads with model aeroplane glue, to putting baking soda on your toothbrush for enamel stain removal.

So, do you have a weird and wacky, money-saving, tried and tested beauty tip that you would like to share?

I make my own exfoliator by grinding sugar (or salt) and linseeds, and mixing with olive oil and a dash of lemon juice. It leaves my skin silky soft, and causes no adverse reaction on my sensitive skin.

I know one that doesnt work can I put that? My nan gave me some face powder once that was really dark, I think she'd wone it at bingo, So I crumbled it up in a pot added some talcum powder to make it match my skin tone. Put it on my face to go out that day and over time the talcum powder dropped off and I looked like an ooompa lumpa lol
We wont do that then 4get! lol!
Banana skin works on veruccas
I have one! Common sense really. Those large wet wipes for taking off your make up, why use a whole one? I cut each one in to four as I use them and keep in an air tight box.
Sudocrem, brilliant applied over night for spots! Really reduces them!

Hi Sachs and 4get. I read somewhere that mashing a banana and applying to the facial area gives you very supple skin.
I'd rather have a bananna Sundae No! :0)

Sachs - that's interesting to know. Someone suggested to me that if I feel a pimple coming, to cut a garlic clove in half and rub it on the emerging pimple. Take it from me - it really works !!
But would anyone want to kiss you? Hmmmmm! lol !
.... & dont forget to wash the sudocrem off the next day or you'll look like 'Casper'
