Self cutting outside tap kits

I,ve just installed one of these on a branch from the cold water feed direct into the house, the pressure in the house in good yet the pressure at the outside tap is poor any ideas?

It rather sounds as if there is a constriction in the path from the main pipe itself to the outlet at your tap. This can be because the cut into the pipe wall is incomplete or else that it is only a small hole (perhaps inevitably due to the type/size of fitting you have used).
Yes, this is undoubtedly due to the fact that the hollow pin that penetrates the pipe is small in diameter. I fitted one of these a few years ago myself - too pecuniary disadvantaged to get a plumber in - and didn't have high expectations of it when I examined it in the DIY superstore, I was proved right.

The water presssure at the outside tap depends on the diameter of that pin. As an analogy, think of the difference between the water volume that comes out of a fireman's hose compared to your garden hose.

Many thanks KARL & hairygrape, i was thinking that the hole size was probably the problem.
Are you sure you fully cut the pipe when you screwed the new cutting tap in?If you don't fully cut through you leave a disc of copper bridging the hole into the main pipe and this will reduce flow.
