Someone cut the leader from my Patricia Varner Holly, and pruned it into a round ball-shape.  Is it forever ruined, or will it form a new leader?

Hi Carol,
Sorry to hear this. This site explains how to restore a leader to a tree. Keep in mind that this holly is a slow grower, so it may take some time for you to see results.
