I have a sheet of glass in the top half of my back door and this leaves 3" of wood frame that the paint needs to come off. A friend has lent me an electric paint stripper which would be easier ??. Is there anything I can put on the glass to cover it so it won't crack or had I better use some from a tin.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, as long as you are careful it will be fine to use the eletric paint stripper. Just try not to point it directly at the glass. I have used one many times and not had a problem. Also try not to hold the stripper in the same place for too long as it will burn the wood. Good luck.

theshedman, Many thanks for your reply so I will have a go at it. I turned it on then had second thoughts, its got to be done so this will make my mind up for me. As the weather will be nice it won't be such a chore.
