HELP Re Kitchen Tiles

On our kitchen floor there are several layers of tiles, most have been quite easy to remove the final layer have been in place for at least 30 years ,we have tried to ease them up but no matter what we do the Tiles are so brittle they are just chipping,any ideas please we are desperate .

Not sure if this is going to help you with your problem but several years ago we tried to remove floor tiles & spent hours chipping them off; that was until someone said to try a steam wallpaper steamer. They came up easily & although a bloomin mucky process, all the gluey stuff under came up too leaving a nice smooth surface. Maybe if you haven't got one of these yourself, you could borrow or hire one. hope this helps
I used a hot air paint stripper to gently warm them . You are right tho' it's a thankless mucky task.
