In my old house I had a servowarm back boiler which had its own gas fire in front of it and they got serviced together.  (I gather servowarm has been taken over by glowworm).  My first step would be to find out what make of back boiler you have, then contact the manufacturer and see if they have a compatible fire.
Just a quick note to sa servowarm have not been taken over by Gloworm!!!!

ref last reply servowarm used to rebadge some boilers, mainly Thorn or Glow-Worm,

If you have a very old back boiler you may not be able to get a replacement fire Only baxi and Glow Worm now making these type of boilers, poss that this may stop next year when new building regs start in April 2005
