My office chair skids instead of rolling since I laid laminated flooring. Are there different castors for soft and hard surfaces ? And if so, what type do I need for laminated flooring and where do I get them ?

Cheers.

The wider the roller on the castor the better it will roll on semi-soft surfaces. Or you could go with a floor protector. The mundane platic ones work well, although I have one of these in my home office here in the U.S.: http://www.abundantearth.com/store/BambooChair MatCherry.html

Works well and looks nice... I have the one in Bamboo...

D Homebase have a flat glide castor, it may be you can unclick the existing ones and swap for new ones? Or try this link http://www.abacus-furniture.co.uk/19.php Cheers.
