my new light has brown green and blue. wires in celing are red black and green. Do I wire the blue to teh red and the brown to black and green to green. Thanks

No.

The brown goes to the red and the blue goes to the black. and of course green to green.

Hang on sorry if it is a three plate system then the blue goes to the black neutral wires and you might have just one black on its own which is the switch line (it might have red sleeving on it ) the brown goes to that.

But I will need more info to tell you for sure

it is a new celing light with 3 wires out the top. Brown Green and Blue. Took down the old celing light and there is red black and green. (the old light is the same wiring brown green blue just forgot to see how they were wired)
