How to transport cut hydrangeas please.

I will be buying my hydrangeas for my daughter's wedding on a Wednesday but they won't be arranged in vases etc until Thurday and I have to transport them from Brighton to Shropshire on the Wednesday. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Obviously keep them in water until just before the off. In the meantime get a box container with a cardboard lid, make holes in the lid so that the flower heads can sit on the lid with the stem poking through. put some weight in the box base to eradicate any toppling and then drive like the proverbial "little old lady"!! - If you have purchased them from your local friendly florist they may already have a container you may use or they will have suitable cardboard containers that are adaptable.
On the "big day" if the room is warm, you could spray the heads with a fine mist of hairspray to stop the petals dropping off
