Fitting bathroom radiator

Hi,

I have a little heater high up on the wall in the bathroom of my new flat. It is attached to some kind of power thing on the wall.

I was hoping to get some kind of radiator fitted in as a more practical way of heating and drying.

Something like this maybe...

or some kind of heated towel rail.

Would it be feasible for me to get it connected to the power source for the existing heater or would it need a new power source through the wall.

I rent so trying to work out what is needed before I approach the Landlord.

There are so many safety regulations to look into it's best talking with an electrician. A socket or electrical appliance has to be approx. 2yds or so from a water point hence why I think your heater is high on the wall.

Thanks cocinelle, will definitely check the regs and with a proper electrician.

Hate to imagine what other images lol but can safely say that the bathroom one is the only one of mine :)

Hiya, I would think an electrician can drop an electrical cable down behind the wall from the old heater and connect a new heater in a lower position for you (you dont want a dangling cable)

That's just the kind of thing I need :) something that has an electric connection rather than being plumbed into the hot water.

I wanted it partly for warmth in the bathroom and for drying (water just seems to stay on the floor as it doesn't seem warm enough for it to evaporate off and dry the mat properly.

I also miss having nice warm towels and would be a faff to put them near the other heaters as they are storage heaters and would have to put an airer in front of them.
