Hi
I probably sound really stupid but I don't know anyone who can help me. The door handle on my main overn door cam away last week and has made the oven door come apart from its fixings. The fixings are now very loose. I am worried that if I buy a new door and handle it won't make any difference as the fixings for the door are loose. Should I buy the new door/handle or, would it be better to get a new cooker (gas)?

Help!?!?

The glass fell out of my oven door and the whole door had to be replaced. It was over 115. I regret not getting a new oven now as there are other problems with the oven. Mr thug was in economy mode at the time. Depends how good the oven is and how old I guess.
what's the make and model

It's Indesit and KDG21(X)/G. The glass is fine and I think even the handle would be o.k, it's just the fixings that keep it all together which are very loose.
Have you looked at the manual at cleaning instructions? They might tell you how to take the door off and to dis-assemble it for cleaning. then you put it all back together properly. ( my cooker is a hotpoint and gives instructions) Hope this helps.
Could you double check that model number, I can't find it.

Door hindges and support brackets would probably cost about 20 for each side though.

Sorry. It's KD3G21(X)/G
If your in the birmingham or areas south of it then we can repair your oven door for you.

if you want to do it yourself then contact "gas on spares" in halesowen, Birmingham to order spare parts. The sales guys there are very helpful and knowledgable. They do mail order and you can find their number if you google them as i believe they have a website.

whether its worth getting a new cooker depends on how old your one is and what condition it is in and whether you have the money to spare.
