We have dug out a bed of yuccas. we now have new plants appearing out off the bed , in our lawn and threw our drive way. What is the best way to get rid of these yuccas without digging up the yard and driveway?

Hi Bertabob, I don't use herbicides, but you might try horticultural vinegar. Take a look here. http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/pr/2002/020515.htm http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/lists/weeds/2002103307006699.ht ml The yuccas that are mature have probably been going to seed for several years. Cut off the flower stems of any that bloom before they disperse their seed. Then you can take your time digging them out without worring too much about new ones appearing. Newt
