Why does the oven cooling fan remain on continuously with the oven controls off. Can only be isolated via the wall switch

If it's like the Bosch oven I have it stays on for quite a while after the oven has been switch off about 20 to thirty minutes

tiggerwoo...I'm thinking possibly the same as you and that edpaul is 'main switching' off the oven before it has cooled down.

I have a 'Hotpoint' oven which does exactly the same as yours.........Ron

they're supoosed to, depedning on the temperature you selected the cooling fan will run on to cool the oven to a safe level
