I wondered, because I never bother. I hang things up to get the creases out or I tumble dry for 5 minutes. My mate irons towels, socks, underwear. Why?

Hi again sandrajo , I go to any lengths to avoid ironing , I really dislike doing it. xxx
i'm like you i just hang everything up when i take it out the machine, my mum irons underwear, socks etc - madness i tell you ;-)

me also bigmamma, I detest it....haysi can iron for hours on end...I just don't see the point!!

mcfluff: does your mum iron towels, I think that's just madness!
hey sandrajo, id say she has no life is she irons sheets, socks and towels! That is just wrong! What is wrong with her? Is she a stepford wife ;-) lol You need to have a word with her .

Im afraid i have better things to do than that, my life is too short. I do my ironing as and when but i try to get away with what i can after tumble drying. Now and then, when ive built up a nice pile, i will have a splurge and get the whole lot done.

I know sandrajo , my sister can iron for hours too , she actually finds it relaxing and likes it !!!!!
I can iron for hours if needed ... its the putting away i hate
Ahh, what you need to do is marry a man who used to be in the Army and then ask him to do it! I hate hate hate ironing and will avoid at all costs, but my hubby will gladly do it!

Ha Ha Ha (evil laugh!)

lol @ julie: I actually accused her of being a stepford wife....she's obsessed with ironing and folding things exactly!!
I only iron my clothes when I need to wear them. I wash and dry them, and put them away un-ironed. Its pointl;ess ironing them coz you will probably have to re-iron them before you where them.
Hee hee , andrea , my son does all his own ironing and is well trained to perfection :-D
Bm,

Oh yes, I made the horrific mistake of ironing two seams on his work shirt once and he has never forgiven me! (Not on purpose I might add!)

....... or did I????????
Ooops , folding things .......mmm.....maybe I'm a bit Stepford about that ....what's your knicker draw like ladies for example ? My sister even remarked on mine as they are all neatly lined up in a row perfectly rolled .....
shall I get my coat .....lol
Hi sandrajo -
I iron as I need! Towels, socks , underwear??????
Life's too busy isn't it! xxx
Mr kola does most of our ironing but only irons what absolutely needs it. Cerainly not socks or pants.
I hate ironing too!!

I do one big pile a week and it is all Mr Funnys shirts!!!

I certainly don't iron towels, sheets etc, life is too short for all that!!!
I usually leave it until the heap's halfway to the ceiling! I actually quite like it, but choose my time, watching (listening to!) tv or listening to the radio at the same time. I also iron things as needed - usually five minutes before my youngest needs to leave the house!! No, I do not iron socks or undies - life is too short......
towels and face cloths - the womans mad i tell ya!
I iron the things that need ironing. I dont have a big ironing pile because whats point of ironing then shoving it in a drawer, so I iron it when I want to wear it. Oh and morning :-)
Okay i admit im someone who LOVES ironing. I can stand and iron for hours, infact ive been known to watch TV at night and just go and take things out the wardrobe to iron for the sheer hell of doing it. I love freshly ironed bedding but do not iron towels.
I barely iron anything. Usually just hang things up as soon as they are dry and never really need to bother - though I will if I absolutely have to!
