What can i use?

I need to stick a piece of felt material onto a top temporarily what can i use? I thought about those velcro spot things but wasn't sure if they would leave a residue behind when i removed it.

Why do you need the felt ?, if it's protection or anti-scratch why not use one of those anti-slip tray mats, most pound shops sell them.
