JIgsaw varnish

I want to glue a jigsaw onto thin wood/pdf and varnish it to make it into a waterproof table placemat. What glue or varnish do i need?

there is a jigsaw fixing liquid that toy and jigsaw shops sell - specifically for this.

you paint it over your assembled jigsaw and it sticks the pieces together aswell as protecting it .

you can then mount it onto board if you feel that it is not stiff enough - in that event, a decent wood adhesive should do the job
