The bottom of my shower curtain (where it meets the bath) is going all black and spotty. How can I clean it? Or do I just need a new one?

You can wash it in your washing machine. Remove all the fittings first and don't use conditioner.
It is mold growing because the shower curtain is closed when it is still wet. Continual argument with husband who always forgets the only way I find to remove these black marks is bleach

or try a spray-on mould and mildew cleaner.
you could just bin it and get an asda smart price white one for 99p!!! (they're really good, sort of nylon-ish rather than plastic, and stick it in the washing machine once a month).
If you do machine wash it, put a few towels in with it and if you have any, add some Vanish Crystal White, Soda Crystals or a cup of white vinegar.
Try soaking it in a bleach/water solution in a bucket (ideally overnight if poss), then wash it in the washing machine. As Ethel says, don't use conditioner.
I do this to mine once a week.
Just put some bleach and water into a spray bottle and spray it on, and rinse off later - it worked for me.
Yes, household bleach gets rid of it and then wash in machine.
any of the other answers are correct but if you still have stains it will be that you have left the problem too long in which case i suggest you get a new shower curtain and start from scratch but be careful not to leave bleach on for too long as this will eventually rot the curtain. watch for the mould starting to appear and deal with it immediately and you shouldn't have any more problems, i find the mould and mildew spray the best but check the lable for it's suitability for your curtain and yes it is a good idea to wash it in the machine once a month to get rid of any residues on the rest of the curtain anyway and in the summer hang it on the line, they are a bit of a pain but i hope i've helped .
