i have a nest ( 3 years now) of worker bumble bees in my front lawn, i am very keen not to disturb then, they have never bothered us but cutting the grass is getting harder as nest is speading , tempted to turn lawn in to meadow grass, but how can i keep it looking reasonably nice for us, visually, and nice for the bees also

Could you place a small border around the bees nest and make a feature of it, there is an acute shortage of bees this year and nobody really knows why, some are saying that they are getting confused by mobile phone signals and not returning to the nests/hives, but that is more, honey bees!

Look after your bees, they wont sting you and the nests don't usually get very big and you are doing a sterling job for the bee population, my partner and myself were only looking at bumble bee nesting boxes in a garden centre a few day ago with a view to making one myself!!!
