I recently came across an unusual plant in Southern India. When touched it's leaves fold in on each other. I think that maybe they are reacting to moisture.

If anyone can tell me the name of this plant I'd be very grateful.

It's 'Sensitive Mimosa', pretty common throughout the tropics. It shows this ability best in the young plant.
