Electric underfloor heating

hi can anyone advise me is it possible to install electric underfloor heating to an existing suspended wooden floor and then lay a hardwood floor on top.

It's possible, but not very efficient, as the wooden boards act as an insulator to stop the heat from getting through. Have a look here.
heathfield is right, Also you would lose heat downwards unless you insulate under the heating wires, This means you will raise your floor hight by a considerable amount.
