Iv'e got a problem (I think) with my mouse and / or computer. I have a mouse with a wheel, whereby you can scroll up or down the page that you are viewing, using the wheel (as opposed to using the up/down keys on the keyboard or placing the mouse over the "lift" on the right hand side of the screen) Problem is, every now and then, the wheel will scroll back and forth between pages already viewed instead of taking the page that I'm viewing up and down.
(clear as mud I know, but bear with me). In addition, every page that I click on , opens as a new window instead of simpley taking me to a new page with the option of back paging or forward paging. This only happens periodicly. Any help in sorting this will be greatly appriciated as I'm a total technophobe. Thanks in advance

Don't know if this will help you, but I had a similar problem with my mouse scrolling. Everybody I asked to help referred me to control panel/mouse, to no avail. I decided just to live with it. Eventually I decided to get a better graphics card for another problem that had developed. The first thing I noticed on starting my pc back up, was the mouse was performing as it was supposed to. I asked the engineer what he did, he said he did nothing, he did'nt know about my mouse problem but was'nt too surprised as the mouse is connected to the graphics. I know nothing about the workings of computers but perhaps this is an alley you could pursue. Best of luck!
