my radiator is making my room smell like garlic, how do I clean between the gap without buying special stuff?

While the radiator is cold I would clean it with some diluted bleach and to get behind it you could tie a cloth on a wooden spoon or something. Then do it again with water. It might work.

if you don't mind the smell of clean washing, use the tumble dryer sheets, they give off a very nice smell and no-one will know where it's coming from.
