Hi there

I have a flash power mop, newly aquired, and after reading the instructions with the whole "Do not attempt to refill the bottle of cleaner" obviously being a rouse to make you buy the proprietry cleaner, I am wondering if there is anyway you can refill the bottle. I want to be able to use a more eco friendly cleaning agent and so want to be able to refill the bottle

Does anyone know how to get the tamperproof top off or know of a savvy way to refill it yourself?

many thanks

Push a funnel into the rubber membane on the top of the bottle. It will already have a small hole in.

cheers, pea pod, i'll try that, although wont that then make the hole too large and affect the spraying action of the mop? I will try it anyway and see what happens. I've just taken one bottle apart to see how it works, but no luck on actually taking the white lid off, it must be glued on with really strong glue....

thanks for your response though, seems lkike the only way. Maybe I'll see if I can get a syringe from the pharmacist.
If you wear rubber gloves pink ones are better :) you`ll find that the so-called tamper proof top twists off with ease

really?! I must just be a right weakling then as I had everything on it this evening and couldn't get the darn thing to budge and inch. I shall put mr mimififi on the case when I get a new one. I shall certainly try agan, for sure.

thanks for that one,

hi guys,
i have bought a new bottle of cleaner and on the new one (didn't come with the mop) the knob does wiggle and is just kept from comming off by tiny little teeth. So i used a small scapel, cut them all off and now it is just a regular bottle, hurrah. however, on my old bottle the one that came with the starter kit, I took the whole thing apart and it was in fact glued on, weird.

anyways, I know can refill at will, so don't feel too bad. THANKS for all your help both of you, I really appreciate it.

Hi,
I have a real hard time finding refills so I have cut a hole in the top and fill it up with any floor cleaner then put a wine stopper in to stop it from spilling out.
The lid locks to the bottle by a series of opposing teeth at the bottom rim of the plastic lid. By sliding a sharp knife between the lid and the bottle and prising the two apart you can create a slight gap. Next slide the knife around the lid in a complete turn several times. The teeth will be damaged or broken and the lid can be removed just like a normal bottle.
Following the advice on here, I carefully sawed a gap between the "tamperproof" toothed collar of the bottle, and the thinner gripped part (putting a grip on a bottle like that only tempts people like us even more, right guys?).
Voila! Modified refillable bottle for any floor cleaning product.

I had 2 bottles. The small sample that comes with the techno-mop and the rather expensive official refill. It seems that some twist off easier than others. The small one wouldn't even budge when held in a vice.

The pads can be substituted with just about anything given a little imagination. Cheap microfibre ones being my favourite.

The scrubber end I never found stocked at where I bought the shop I bought it at. But any popular green pan scourer seems to work better.
could you please let me know if the flash power mop takes batteries
