winter flowers

Pls can anyone suggest cheap & cheerful winter plants that will go in my hanging baskets for the winter months and brighten up the garden a bit, limited budget.

Pansies ,heathers ,primulas.Skimmia or Euonymus.Polyanthus gives height in the middle of a basket with trailing ivy.Dwarf conifers or hebes are nice with crocuses and ivy ..again ! I usually stick to pansies with ivy or primulas with ivy.

I bought some lovely yellow pansies from B & Q - 12 for �2.98 I think they were and they have filled my hanging basket. I am just waiting for the busy lizzies in my summer basket to finish before swapping the baskets around.
