Are you south facing? Overlooked?

How many people live in the house? If you have a larger family you may want to be able to use curtains to make the conservatory more private now an again.

Try leaving things as they are for a few weeks - you'll be in a better position to decide then.
Have you thought about voile panels instead of curtains? We have a conservatory but it's off the dining room. I have voile panels up instead of curtains. Lets the light in but still has the feel of 'something being there' if you are used to curtains.

Many thanks for both of your anwers. we are not overlooked at all.north facing . And yes I was thinking prehaps of voile panels. I am very grateful for all suggestions.
Think very carefully before removing the patio doors. Neighbours removed their P/doors last year, to make a thro' room, and regreted it! It made both rooms VERY COLD. Theirs faced West and your faces the coldest direction!! Live with it for 12 months!
