Had a couple of friends round earlier and one of them needed to use the loo which is fine but now it is blocked with.......well I'm sure you can guess. I could use a toilet brush to break it up but then it will be covered in......! How do I get the damn thing to flush away? Its making me heave. Thanks

That'll teach me to invite people round. Think I'll live my life as Billy no mates from now on, haha

I know, Ducksie, and yes I would be mortified. But I said it all in jest, and of course I'll be inviting my friends round again.

It was a very big log looking at me when I lifted the lid up! Anyway, I've braved it and used the brush to break it up and it's gone now. I put a load of disinfectant in the loo and left the brush in there to soak overnight.
I once had to cut an un-flushable turd left in the bowl by an old girlfriend with a kitchen knife. Not a nice job (in both senses of the word).

Same here, Pat. I used to clean the litter tray every day and it didn't bother me.
I must admit. There is a lot of variety on AB!
Don't forget that the brush is soaking in there or it's make more than your eyes water.

Lol, Mamy!
A metal skewer, or a wooden one, or a stick from the garden, to break it up, then throw wooden items away. Give metal skewer and good wipe, then a good wash, then disinfect it. No probs, used to happen regularly in our house.
I do what Vagus does - wooden stick
friend told me to get a mop, and plunge it down toilet forcefully several times if its blocked, it will release the air and the stuff should go down immediately
Good morning tiggs, just looked in to see how things were, I did miss the haha at the end of your post, oh I would not have liked your job clearing that up and I do hope you don't know which of your friends were the culprit haha make things awkward, but 'shut happens' haha (I had to make the typo there) as for Pat, I'd not let a bus load of children in either
Years back, after a Diabetes diagnosis, i began eating much more fruit and veg. This, of course, had an effect on what came out of my body and it often had to be broken up before being flushed away. I used (and still do when the occasion arises) a wire coat hanger to slice through the, erm, produce after which, flushing is easy. As is the cleaning of said coat hanger.
Omg just the thought of it is making me heave lol. Again, I can quite happily clear up after animals but humans…. No way!!

Good morning all :o)

All sorted now and brush rinsed off after a few further flushes. I'm not going to tell my friend as I don't want to cause her any embarrassment. Similar thing happened to me many years ago but the complete opposite to a log. Luckily I was able to clear it all away after a few flushes. I guess most of us have been in this situation so nothing unusual. I just wanted to know the easiest way of getting rid of it, that was all.

Thanks all for your suggestions/replies. I might get myself a metal rod and keep it stored in case it happens again :o)
Put up a little sign in your upstairs loo, Tiggs; "Are you sure you haven't left anything behind?" :-))

Good idea, Ken ;o)
I think it's appalling that your friend didn't mention it and ask you for something to deal with it themselves. Horrible!
Ive never been in that situation but honestly don’t know what I’d do tbh, apart from be mortified!!
I should think everyone has had an embarrassing toilet situation. My first was when I was around 6 years old at a friend's birthday party.

It just would not flush away and I kept putting more and more paper down the toilet.
His mom said I couldn't go back to her house :(
A six year old is different and that mother should have been ashamed of herself for taking that attitude.
