i have a problem - boiler is not recognising my mobile thermostat (salus rt500rftx; presumably RF, deffo not wifi)
It has worked fine up till this autumn, but now when house reaches temp on thermo, the boiler keeps going. the only way to turn heating off and on its to the turn the dial on the boiler to winter mode (on) or summer mode (off)
how can i make them see each other again (changed batteries in thermo)

Have you checked whether the switch on the receiver has been knocked to the 'Off' position?

On the boiler or thermostat?
On the white box with red and green lights, as well as that On/Off switch, on it. That's the bit that receives signals from the thermostat (but which won't do so if it's set to 'Off').

it was set to on, but i turned it off and on again. no green lights. still no joy though
There's a small 'Reset' button on the thermostat unit. It might be worth pressing it to see if it fixes the problem. (NB: Doing so wipes all of stored settings in the unit, so you'll need to reprogram them).

[Just a thought though: Perhaps the 'Reset' button has already been accidentally depressed, leading to the thermostat losing its memory?]

i appreciate your help (reset of he box has been done too :()
You have to take the thermostat to with in 1 meter of the receiver to re-set. Switch receiver off for ten seconds, turn back on, red light should now glow. Press and hold NUMBER 1 on learn mode and hold down, press number 2, and keep both depressed until red light flashes, then goes out, release both and the green and red should be on. (Sorry before you do all this slide batteries down from thermostat) when completed all the above, slide batteries back in while standing 1 meter away, the red light will flash every 7 seconds, this tells you that the signal is being sent, and the two units are initialising.
I can't find any of that in the instruction manual, TC44!

oh dear, gave instructions for mine, ( a Drayton) my bad. Just a a quick flick through your link, seems to be very similar just different way of commissioning.
Somewhere on the thermostat it will show if a signal is being sent, if it is being sent then the receiver may be shot. No sent signal on thermostat, then obviously the thermo.
