The problem is, I don't have proper grass or real flowers, so I don't think a proper gardener would be interested.
I've never been interested in gardening and even if I was, I wouldn't be able to maintain one myself, so I have artificial grass with pebbles around the borders and artificial flowers in decorative displays with solar lights.
The problem mainly is the amount of leaves and other bits off trees that land on the grass, and weeds absolutely everywhere.
Who should I look for (to pay obviously) that would come perhaps once a month with a garden blower to blow away the rubbish and destroy the weeds, and how much would I be expected to pay for a service like this? Smallish garden and driveway at the front and medium size garden at the back. TIA.

You should advertise for a gardener, making it clear the work expected - weeding , clearing leaves and tidying outside space is still gardening.

Depending on where you live, £9 - £15 an hour.
I do some clearing/tidying from time to time for a few people in the village, and charge £10 an hour. Can often be quite exhausting and I often feel like putting my price up!

Thanks barry, I didn't think a proper gardener would be interested in a job which really doesn't need any experience, but I thought perhaps a D-I-Y person might not be interested in it either.
What about advertising for an Odd Job Man?

brainiac you are just the kind of person I'm looking for.:-)
£15 an hour is the normal rate tound here..
are you on FB?
we have several "youngsters" (20ish) round here who advertise this sort of unskilled work

Thanks bednobs I am on Facebook and will take a look.
I'll try again. Why not look for a Handy Man/Odd Job Man?
Google: garden tidy up
Lady over the road employs a retired chap to cut the grass and do a general garden tidy up, he’s not a gardener just a retired person earning a few bob.
Vagus - that's what I used to do. I didn't have any plants though (too many young kids)

Sorry LB I thought I'd replied to you. I always think of odd job men /handy men as someone who works inside.
I did ask a man that does odd jobs for me but he wasn't interested.
Vagus could be onto something with asking someone who is retired, I'll ask around.
Thanks to all for your suggestions.
You could rang a few gardeners who advertise and ask their advice, they would gladly help or give advice.
Put a postcard in your local newsagents window.
