I have a small area, about one square meter, on my drive where the sand retaining the block paving has been washed away by rain from a leaking down pipe. I'm going to try to rectify it myself but need to know if I can use builders sand or do I need sharp sand?
Does any member have advise on this?

Definitely not builders' sand Howard. It contains too much water to allow it to get in the joints properly.

Kiln-dried is what you want..............

I should also have said that you can get it from most Builders' Merchants/Wickes/ B&Q etc.
