I like that Pasta.
Question Author
That's a fab light, Pasta, and would work really well in some kitchens.
Question Author
That I DO like, 237 and I daresay he'd like it too.

I prefer brass to pewter or copper.
My thoughts:-

Your ceiling lights I like very much, but would have reservations for them going in the kitchen - it would depend on how it was furnished..

His (sorry to be brutal) are absolutely awful.

Your wall lights, once again, are unsuitable for a kitchen (they speak to me as outside wall lights).

Not much help I know, but you did ask ;-)

IMHO.

Canary, it's a very large open plan kitchen / diner / snug. The wall lights are for the snug area where there will be a bespoke fitted media unit and corner sofa and a feature dark blue wall. The dining table and chairs are set against an exposed brick wall backdrop and the kitchen which spans the other side of the room will have spotlights in the ceiling (the spotlights are actually throughout the entire room) and a pendant hanging above the island.

I do like 237's suggestion but unfortunately it needs to have more height - around 130cm as a rough estimate.
// I'm genuinely interested what people think.//

of course you are lol!

Oh go and take the dogs for a swim !!
That's fabulous but can you justify that price?
Question Author
Mamya, I've already found it cheaper on another site. Honestly the price of lighting is so variable, it's shocking.
Are you going to live there or are you doing it up to sell? I am notoriously rubbish at imagining how things will actually look in situations (from dresses, to lights, to maps and plans) but they are all rather striking which is ok if you are going to live there but not if you're selling
The problem with fashion is that before long it becomes old fashioned so I’d say none of the above. Classic every time for me.

I tend to follow that mantra with my wardrobe, Naomi, but we are definitely looking for a "look" for what will be our main living area in the house.
To misquote the great Fingal O'Flahertie:

“This lighting and I are fighting a duel to the death. Either it goes or I do.”

I cannot see the sense in suspended lighting from a vaulted ceiling. Difficult to keep clean and change bulbs when required.
Naomi makes a valid point.

Go away and stop trying to ruin my thread. If you dislike me so much why don't you ignore me and then I will have no cause to respond to you. Others can protest until they are blue in the face but I know the truth and so do you.

Get over your bitterness and get a life.
I beg your pardon?
Question Author
That was a response to the post at 18:42.
