I had my bathroom decorated about a year ago and the pain on the ceiling is cracking, we used bathroom paint,I was wondering if this is because we need an extractor fan,the crarckin is maintly above the shower, that is why I thing an extractor fan might be needed.

I have the low volt lights, and I think you can get a extarctor fan that has a light in the centre of it

Poor ventilation will affect the decorations. B&Q do a good selection of extractor fans, they need to be vented to outside not just into the loft where it could cause rot.
Would it not be cheaper to just open the window when you have a shower? or does this not work?
Aliflump, this might upset the neighbours besides it could get a bit chilly in winter. I suppose having a good hose down in the garden could be the answer!
Fair enough stanley. When i think of extractor fans i just think of that annoying noise that comes on in hotel bathrooms when you switch the light on and doesnt go off for ages

Thanks to all. I did intend venting via a hose or somthing simular.I have a un-used vent, used to have an Ascot water heater that vevented via a proper Vent in the loft, its where the top of the roof is and ther is a special outlet,so I was going to use that.
