Some kitchen fitters provide that service, others don't

You need to sort that out with whoever is fitting your new one.
Some kitchen fitters provide that service, others don't
My kitchen fitters took the old one out and ordered a skip to take it away (paid for by me of course). I assumed this was normal practice.

I would have thought if kitchen fitter was taking old kitchen out they would obviously dump the old one.
Yes, they did 'dump' it into a skip.
Yeah - they might just dump it in your garden!

I was cycling down a country lane the other day & someone had dumped an old smashed up kitchen all along the roadside. Please make sure yours is disposed of properly.
Everything has to be paid for. I would expect a cheaper job if I took the old kitchen out ready for the new one to be fitted. Similarly tradesmen have to pay to dump stuff at a tip whereas private householders can dump most things free.
Not quite the same but we had our bathroom redone a couple of weeks ago. The builders ripped out the old one, ordered a skip and put all the stuff out of the bathroom in it. You really should have discussed this with your fitters.
ripping out a kitchen is not a small job - if its included in your quote you would know!
Ask your kitchen fitter.
Taking a kitchen out badly can add to the cost of fitting a new one.
A decent fitter would often prefer to do both.
our fitters did ours. We could have done it ourselves to keep the cost down.
