If still available I'd buy smooth nylon. Any comments about satin appreciated. Thanks.

Nylon sheets? My idea of hell!
Not real silk satin though, they are polyester....YuK! Only Egyptian cotton for us, I could not bear nylon sheets.
Just the thought of nylon anything makes my skin crawl.
I think microfiber might be nicer, most are polyester.
Satin describes the weave, not the raw material. It can be made from anything

Yes Barry we've probably all googled that. However, Satin was originally made from Silk, and the higher end Satin still is, although it would be cost prohibitive for all but the billionaires of society to have it as sheets. Now a days silk satin is normally just used for lingerie.
Nylon sheets, gosh no, that was the bad old days, give me cotton everytime.
Nylon sheets? No thanks. Still remember the static electricity shocks i occasionally got in places i'd rather not get them.
nylon ones where you used to end up tangled in the sheets, or slip out of the bed completely, poly cotton, cotton i can understand...
You can buy a genuine silk double sheet for little over £100. I don't a pair is exclusive to billionaires. I couldn't be doing with the faff of laundering them
i used to have silk shirts, they were lovely to wear, but a nightmare to launder.
Remember back in the day when Brentford Nylon were on the go. Bought purple sheets and pillowcases - thought I was the bees knees but they didn't last. Kept getting shocks from the static!
Don't think I've ever used satin, nylon or silk sheets. Mine are cotton or cotton mix.
if you got a little bit warm, hot, they used to stick to you, not very practical.. lol

I liked nylon sheets as it was possible to wriggle and rotate twice!
if i did that i would end up out the bed,.....
When I was a child my Mum used to buy me nylon pyjamas. Once she also bought nylon sheets too.

If I turned over I was kept awake by the crackle of static, and it felt like I might keep spinning.
LOL Hopkirk.
Horrible things. Have we made you change your mind Coppit?
There was a time when people actually liked nylon. Do you remember there was a chain of shops called Brentford Nylons?
