How high am I?

This is a really stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. I'm about to order Sky tv through their website, and on the form I need to fill in, it's asking wether the dish can be installed below 30 feet. I'm no good at judging measurements like this. I'm in a second floor flat, with average height ceilings.

Bearing that in mind, do you think I'm likely to fall within this height restriction, to avoid a 'special' installation (whatever that means)? Others in the flats below have their dishes on their side walls, so it wouldn't necessarily need to go on the roof. Rough guess anyone?

I would guess the average storey height is about 10 feet, so assuming you are the 3rd floor (ground,1st,2nd) you should just make it. Can you drop a ball of string or something out of the wondow, then measure that?

Hey, that's a cunning plan, sddsddean. Don't have a ball of string in the house, but I'll get hold of one tomorrow. Thanks.
I'm on second floor too, and fall within the under 30ft range if it's any help.

That's reassuring Scatty. Thanks
Make sure you keep hold of one end of the string though :-)
I would think you would be fine. Average ceiling height 10-12 foot x 2 =20-24. It only needs to be floor height. I would tick it if you havn't already done so.
