So some saplings (in pots) have aphids. I don’t particularly feel
Like spraying them - if I leave them outdoors will the birds / rain / ladybirds see to them?

maybe...how much do you treasure the plants and how heavy is the infestation?
It's probably too late for ladybirds, spray with weak washing up liquid.
um no or there would be no aphids out there
all eaten see?

woof not particularly treasured - they were simply planted on from seeds. The infestation is mild and the aphids are tiny so poss just "hatched"

webbo - yeah I cld (and prob will now) just felt lazy lol

PP - yeah good point lol!
this time of year, I'd give the plants a good shake to get as much of them off as possible and let the cold deal with them
