Does anyone have a rough, ball park figure for painting hall and stairs?

My K normally does it but as he's getting on a bit I'm not happy with him climbing a ladder anymore.

I live in the South if that helps.

With the utmost respect, how long is a piece of string?
The price for decorating my hall and stairs in my first house would be a fraction of my current hall and stairs.
If you were providing paint/wallpaper you'd be paying labour only - possibly £25/hr.
Ken is a retired decorator and an ab'er who may be more helpful.
If he doesn't see this post, I'll try to catch his attention to it
have you tried getting quotes on site like trust a trader or checkatrade or find my builder ?or even market place on facebook
I'm semi retired, alba. Don't write me off just yet :-)
The price would depend on quite a few things, Darcey; the state of existing surface, amount of prep work involved, how long job would take, etc. And the fact that you live in the south of the country means you will pay more. As has already been suggested, get at least 3 free estimates before you make a decision.
This may be blasphemy for me to say, but don't any of your family/friends know anyone who would be willing to do it, and is capable of doing a good job, for cash in hand?
£200—£250.
Just Googled and as at 2018, the price range for repainting walls only on stairs, landing and hallway in a typical 3 bedroom house (down south) was anywhere between £476 and £700. And that's assuming that existing plaster is in good nick. I've just painted all the woodwork and ceiling, then papered the landing and stairs of a 2 bedroom house for less than half of the lower mentioned price. I'm in the wrong part of the country:-/
