After 4th July?
I would think that comes under essential maintenance.
Had ours done yesterday.

Hi John, Waterman. Not essential as such, as someone coming in to lay new laminate flooring. Mobile hairdressers can operate after the 4th as far as I’m aware?
After the 4th, but social distancing should be observed.
yes
go for cash and get a good deal

answer - "yes"
AB poster - you sure about dat den?
If can have a nanny and a cleaner in your house I can’t see why you shouldn’t have someone doing floors - at social distancing, whatever that is now.
Seems like a free for all from the 4th of July anyway.
We had someone out to measure up for a new fitted carpet two weeks ago. Just waiting for it to arrive at the shop and a date for fitting!
jo //at social distancing, whatever that is now.//
A minimum of 1 metre.
Why are supermarkets still saying 2 metres, and why do their floor staff ignore it?
Jo, the minimum is 1 metre but anyone can distance more than that if it is feasible.
Jo,
//Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that, from 4 July, a "one metre plus" rule will be introduced in England when it is not possible to stay 2m apart//
My son had his new kitchen started four weeks ago, should have started the day after lockdown. They finished it last week.
It involved walls being taken down, a new under heated floor and all the usual kitchen stuff. And a decorator.
