Suggest you move this question to the Chatterbank and leave room for the straightforward Q&As
Well I did at first think that moving this post to the CB was OK, but on second thoughts so many people have so many problems which they don't expect when selling a house that a discussion might be a good idea and that the Chatterbank, which seems to be used for Ahem.. shall we say ''less than serious'' topics such as ''anybody there?'' would not be a good place for this post.
I agree qapmoc, this is indeed a serious Q. As we shall be putting our house on the market after Christmas will look forward to all answers with slight apprehension - and hopefully a few pointers.

Just had to say that this question would have soon disappeared down the many pages of drivel on CB.

I feel that Home & Garden is the correct category for it & hope you receive some helpful advice funnywebsite.

Hi Smudge, don't be unkind, some people function best when their mind is engaged with ''drivel'' it stops them thinking about reality.

I put it in this category as the subject is house. Obviously nobody has much to add but thanks for the backup about the right category. I am selling my house as you might of guessed. I am onto my 3rd buyer due to timewasters. The first two were led on by brokers who promised them mortgages but couldn't fulful their side of the bargain. My new buyer is using a hight street bank this time so I have more faith in them. The survey was done in less than a week after I accepted their offer so it shows things are moving much faster. I hope 3rd time lucky or I am renting it out.

I gather that was meant as tonque-in-cheek qapmoc -on reading other AB'ers posts regarding CB, I know I'm not alone in thinking a lot of it is drivel lately. ;o]
