Are these type of armchairs comfortable or are they more for helping to get in and out easily. I have tried a few but find them more firm than cushy.

Some friends of ours have two of these chairs and I could only sit in one for a short time - found it to be most uncomfortable. However, having said that, there are probably manufacturers who make this type of chair that is comfortable ! You pays your money etc.... Good luck.

Personally, I find firmer chairs (and beds) more comfortable than soft, squishy ones.

Thanks for comments, obviously it is a matter of opinion and experience. I found them uncomfortable and they were expensive.

They are expensive, but so many different types. You really need to try them out first, you may well find something that suits you.

Very expensive. I found them comfy enough.

I find mine very comfortable. Its multi positional and provides support where its needed, in fact I don't know how I managed without it.
The massage is very relaxing too.
