Best Grab Adhesive

I'm trying to find a good grab adhesive that would stick plasterboard to wood battens. The area concerned is only about a metre square and not load bearing - it's just a removal of a damaged piece of plasterboard on a landing wall and replacing it with a new piece. The battens are already in place. There seems to be dozens of grab adhesives marketed, with solvent and solvent-free types and I've no idea of the best.
Would the grab adhesive also be suitable for sticking wood to metal?

Thank you.

A bit of googling finds loads of positive reviews for this stuff:

I would go with Chris's advice was just about to recommend the same adhesive.
I found evo stick seriously strong stuff wasn't bad.
And I wonder what the rest of you have been eating.
I agree with Chris and Tony.
Most of the solvent types are very similar and very good, for most purposes the price is usually the only discernible difference. Thus if you choose on price from B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix, Tool Station, Wickes, etc. or even eBay ("solvent based adhesive") you should be satisfied with the results. Remember that once opened/used the tube will dry out so you generally have only a few months before it is useless.
I back The Builder's suggestion - and you don't need much of it either.....
Personally, I'd also put a few screws in just to be on the safe side.
