When I was a child dinner ( Sunday's) was always 12 noon/ 12-30 to the strains of Two way Family Favourites on the radio, then I was scrubbed clean and put into my 'Sunday Best ' to go to Sunday School for 1-45, dinner was always a roast and followed by either rhubarb or apple pie that was home made with custard, tea was sandwiches and scones, again ,home made,
Now we don't have ours till about 6 pm and not always a roast, may even be a curry and now no one goes to Sunday School anymore :0)

And no shops open mally? Bliss
No real routine whatsoever.
Sounds like you were spoiled Bobbs. :o)

And the pubs were open 12-2 and 7-10.30 (in England, in Wales they didn't open on Sundays).
I remember Sunday’s being boring as hell as a child and even into my teens.
Pubs being open 12-2...yeah right, they just shut the doors and carried on as normal :-)

Arh, 4-0 to the lions Spicy , sorry, hehe
;-)
3-0, Spicey.
Yep,the same with me. Sunday dinner was at 1pm with a roast. Then off to Sunday School. My Mum made Apple or cherry pie and we had sandwiches for tea. Nowadays, it's a roast maybe about once a month.

If it was the England v Bulgaria game Tilly, it was 4-0
Arghhh, now it's a footy thread, lol
If we wanted rhubarb you climbed over three fences to the garden down the road, and nicked it to dip in a bowel of sugar, same with the apples. Sometimes their dog ripped ya ass off in the process, or you got splinters up ya bum off the fences.

We've all been guilty of that Tc lol
Nobody made Sunday dinners as nice as my Ma's (specially when they'd been on a pot of hot water keeping warm for a few hours)
I must have missed the last goal. Sorry about that.
