You boil an egg on top of the stove in a pan. The egg doesn't crack. So effectively, you've put some boiling water in a pan with an egg.

Do you wash up the pan, after the egg has boiled?

I Wipe the pan with a damp cloth to remove scum
Do you know where eggs come from?
No. Just rinse it out. Hubby however would put it in the dishwasher!
Just quickly rinse it
Yes.

I personally would rinse it or wipe it with a damp slightly soapy cloth but i've always thought, boiling water in it for 5 min is probably a better clean than a bit of fairy would achieve.
I think we know where eggs come from....and the fact they've been in boiling water for several minutes.
^^^that was to Zacs-M

You know chickens only have one hole? The but. All eggs come out the but.
Boiling an egg for a few minutes would get rid of any nasty bacteria the egg shell much more than the dishwasher! So where the egg emerges from is dealt with!
Just a rinse and brush. This removes powder before it sets like rock. Limescale control.
You shouldn't actually boil eggs. Should be just below.

You will get a build up of calcium over time.
(I thought Spath might say Tescos)
I rinse out the pan.
Absolutely, always. There has to be some transference of something off the surface of the shell.
But? But what? Oh, sorry, I was forgetting it’s impolite to point out another’s linguistic slips.

Sorry to have been a pain in the butt.
