Anyone any suggestions on degreasing the motor on a canopy cooker hood

Could be very tricky to do. Get a detailed manual for the cooker hood, and carefully try and remove parts of the hood until you find the motor. Actually decreasing it is another issue in itself

If you have decreased your cooker hood you have gone wrong big time!
;) i meant degreasing :P

Thanks anyway - looks like a new hood is the best option
But if you are thinking about replacing cooker hood will be just as easy to clean it. Just remember to fit filters and change / clean them regularly.

It doesn’t look as if the filters have ever been cleaned. The motor is now labouring and there is a burning smell when trying to use it. I think it’s beyond repair
Hoke sounds like replacing it will be best option then.
