8 of us go out every month, taking it in turns to choose where to go.
Usually go in the evening but Decembers choice is always lunch time.
The pub we go to have such a good value Christmas lunch. Five courses for
£14.45.
I had chicken and whisky pate, salad and four slices of toast.
Roast beef, yorkshires, roast potatoes, new potatoes, carrots, parsnips, sprouts, swede, peas and gravy.
Peach, ginger and raspberry crumble with .
Warm mince pie.
Coffee.
Absolutely delicious.
We go every year except last year. We had booked but the weather was horrendous. The pub is up a narrow lane, we had four foot of snow, there was a tree down on the lane and the pub had no electricity. I was a bit worried this year re the weather but we were ok thankfully.

I remember last year's disappointment, glad you had a good lunch Caran.

How is Mister now?
That lot would last me a week. There must be some gannets about.

Mamma he is ok. He looks a bit of a mess. He has had a patch about 2" square sewn on one side of his nose. It has cross stitches all the way round it and it is black with the dried blood. He bought a nose guard that hangs from his glasses to cover it. It is still bleeding on and off but he is coping with it so much better than I would.
He has his skin graft next, they are taking a patch from his forehead as a graft which seems horrendous to me. Will be glad when it's all over. Thank you for asking.
Sounds wonderful...but there's no way I could eat all that.
Must admit I'd have been satisfied with the starter.
Five courses for £14.45?

Can you move some of your pubs across to East Anglia, please? Most pubs around here charge that for the most basic of main courses.
Wish him well from me.x

Will do Mamya.
Sometimes I've had a meal of just starters. ;)
Sounds delicious, Caran and a super price....

Best wishes to MrCaran.....I had a BCC removed and a little graft from the crease in my cheek sort of lifted over......cocky doctor ballsed it up though......I've seen others done and you wouldn't know once all is healed.....x

Gness, that was how they were originally doing it, but they have changed their minds.
Caran a year from now you will hardly notice it....
However you will still be digesting this year's lunch. I could probably manage the pate with two toast and maybe the mince pie... the thought of all that food takes me back to my bad old days... sounds lovely though.
Burp!
