Any suggestions please - white cotton T shirt mistakenly put in with something dark which ran and now its gone a bit murky.
Is bleaching any good - or one of these products you can buy now which are supposed to "catch"the dye?.
Thanks v much.

My preferred option is simply soaking in a chlorine-bleach solution in a plastic bucket/bowl overnight. Not too strong a solution....look at the label on the bleach.
Or keep throwing it in a whites wash with a good scoop of oxywhite powder. Might take a fair few washes but it will come up..eventually.
I honestly don't think there's much you can do. Buy yourself a new one and throw away the ruined one, or keep it to wear under something in winter. White t-shirts have to be white.

Thanks v much all x
Don't throw it away - dye it a darker colour
I'd dye it as well, but not too dark as the stitching is probably nylon and won't take the dye.

The dye catchy things are quite good, but it depends how bad the damage is to start with.

I'd probably start with a solution of Milton, it's less harsh than bleach, and doesn't 'yellow' the fabric
I go with Milton as well.
I accidentally did this with my former stepson's school top. It went a fetching shade of pink. Put it thru again with just bleach. Came up a treat.
Milton vs. "bleach".......same thing. A solution of sodium hypochlorite...Milton is just a weaker solution than supermarket "thin" bleach. Simply use the cheapest supermarket "thin" bleach, but you'll need only about a quarter the amount that you would use of Milton.
Overall, less than one-tenth the cost!
