The seat cushions on my sofas are becoming a little flat. I have a quote to have them restored which seems a bit expensive to me.

They are microfibre filled at present which this company doesn't recommend. For a foam cushion it will be £100 each and to have the foam feather wrapped to make it slightly domed, which I prefer, will be £170.
Has anyone had a foam and feather wrapped seat cushion.....are they nice?

And am I being a bit mean thinking £400 is a bit much for four cuts of foam? Perhaps the foam is pricey.....or there is more to making a seat cushion than I think....I just don't know.

Also....has anyone restored seat cushions?....I'm tempted to have a go....Gx

Thank you, pjgriffo...that's a very kind offer......I'm a little worried about the possibility of noise when all the family visit.....you know.....squirmy grandchildren sitting on video tapes...

However, if you can experiment at home with your sofa cushions and send me a.....video?....of the results I'll certainly consider your offer.....Regards....Gx

More likely wondering precisely WHY nanny has hidden video tapes in the sofa cushions. When they discover they are blank - will be thinking nanny had lost her remaining marbles.

They decided I'd lost my marbles when I began wrapping their Christmas cheques in unusual ways, BM....

Inside plaster models of the seven dwarves....had to be smashed to get to them....
Inside homemade soap bars....break open or have lots of baths?
Tucked inside cassette tapes...they'd never seen a cassette tape....with a picture of Grandma on the front with the words.....Grandma sings you a lullaby.....
Hidden inside one of their books with a cryptic clue in their Christmas card..... :-)
