We are plagued with flies this year. I have bought 2 different brands of fly killer spray , but they just do not seem to work. The flies seem unaffected .Anyone got a recommendation for one that actually does what it says?
Years ago if you used a fly spray the flies immediately started to buzz round in circles and then dropped dead. Now they just keep flying.

Sanmex fly and wasp killer
We have found that Raid works
I'll go with Raid as well - that bluebottle didn't last very long last night.
Yes, Raid works
I find that raid is the best but its not immediate.
The only immediate killer is a fly swat.
.....or a flamethrower... ;0)
Geckos do my fly-killing Danny!
Maybe you could send Eddie a couple jj.
Spray varnish... turns flies into gliders
Much more fun with one of those electric fly swats and good exercise too
//The only immediate killer is a fly swat//
you've got to actually hit them for that to work
daily mail paper makes a good swatter..( it does have some use then )!!
the only thing with spray varnish or hair spray is that it is the very devil to get off stuff that catches the spray. I have got one of these which works quite well. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
The best tool I have is a (powerful) hand-held vacuum cleaner - suck the little blighters to their doom - very satisfying & less messy than swatting or spraying.
After you have tried very fly spray known to mankind you will realise
the pesky little creatures will find a way to annoy you, no matter what.
I prefer Raid, but a lot of that is it doesn't smell as vile as others. Over recent years I've noticed it has got less effective - time was when you could get a perverse pleasure watching them twitch and die.

I use old fashioned fly papers a lot now, and it's amazing how many that catches.
